When we’re not selling fantastic Jeep, Chrysler, Wagoneer, we’re eating. Mostly because you have to eat to sustain yourself, but also because we really enjoy the mix of restaurants in the Surfside Beach, SC area. So, since we’re amateur foodies, our sales, service, and finance departments wanted to share what they believe to be the best Surfside Beach, SC restaurants.
Built in the 1930s, Sea Captain’s House (3002 Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC) is a popular seaside restaurant for locals with a view equally amazing to the food. The award-winning menu is fish focused, mixing fresh sandwiches with southern cuisine and more! Oysters on the Half Shell are a fantastic dish, though if you’d prefer, you can’t go wrong with the Shrimp Cocktail or spicy Jambalaya.
It’s hard not to fall in love with a restaurant that has a walk-up tiki bar window! Surf Diner (11 Ocean Blvd S, Surfside Beach, SC) also has a spectacular, rustic atmosphere enhanced by the fact that it’s literally on a pier. And the food? That’s great, too! Diner food with a seafood flare, expect burgers, shrimps, oysters, fried pickles, and fantastic cocktails.
Next to Surf Diner is River City Cafe. With an equally admirable view, River City Cafe dishes out American fare like nobody’s business. The cafe also claims to make Myrtle Beach’s favorite burger—and we agree! They make fresh burgers seasoned to perfection that pair well with the restaurant’s giant onion rings.
Among the few recommendations that isn’t right on the beach, Dagwood’s Deli and Sports Bar (J29F+6C Surfside Beach, SC) makes the list because it’s one of the friendliest spots in Surfside Beach, and also makes the best sandwiches. We love the Italian deli sandwich, which features ham, Salami, peperoni, provolone, lettuce, and tomatoes, along with oil, vinegar, and organo. They also make some mean fish and chips.
